Sorority Recruitment Video
This video, Sorority Montage, is a documentary-style recruitment film created for Phi Sigma Sigma, designed to highlight the chapter’s culture through an energetic and authentically human lens. The project reimagines the traditional sorority video by prioritizing candid connection, emotional storytelling, and humanizing the sisterhood.
The creative direction centered on capturing genuine, unscripted moments that reflect the chapter’s rhythm of daily and spontaneous life. Warm natural lighting, handheld movement, and a fluid shooting approach allowed the film to feel spontaneous. Shot across a range of chapter environments like common spaces, outdoor areas, and hangouts, this piece documents the subtle and vibrant ways sisterhood shows up: shared laughter, supportive friendships, and the dynamic energy of community.
Post-production emphasized momentum and emotional tone. Fast-paced montage editing, naturalistic color grading, and layered sound design were used to create a cohesive visual identity that feels both polished and deeply personal. Each cut was intentionally shaped around micro-interactions and genuine expressions, building a narrative that celebrates real connection rather than curated perfection.
This video serves as both a recruitment asset and a brand-defining visual piece. Sorority Montage offers an honest, uplifting portrayal of chapter life. The final film delivers a modern, immersive experience that elevates storytelling within the sorority-recruitment genre while staying true to the spirit and individuality of the women it represents. Most young women get intimidated by sorority life because of expectations from social media. The project was designed to highlight the genuine dynamics of sororities within the unique environment of liberal arts schools.
